What is the essence of Education?

Perhaps the first thing to grasp is that education is not a matter of acquiring facts and “knowledge”. This first point is essential in understanding what the essence of education is. Education is not just a matter of developing and training certain processes and habits.

People talk about how we make education “relevant” to students’ lives. How to improve education so that students can better “equip” the job market. This is an abuse of the word education. When people talk like this, they refer to “training”, not real education. True education tells us what everything we do in life is ultimately for. Obviously, education is not a “one-size-fits-all” process.

Every child must embark on his own path and enter cultural life. Every child must find his own way to cultivate a passion for learning. This is why it is difficult to generalize traditional schools, universities and colleges in the United Kingdom and the United States. Everyone has their own unique atmosphere and culture. The most important thing is to find a school that suits your child’s special needs.

Many graduates from different colleges and universities were asked what they planned to do after school. In most cases, many of them don’t know what they want to do. One reason may be that they are too busy instead of taking time to think about the big question “What’s next?” ”. They treat life with a “what will it be” mentality.

The fact is that we cannot face the challenges or overcome obstacles that have plagued us for a long time with this mentality. It just doesn’t work the way it should! The bigger picture should be how we reorganize our mentality and focus on preparing ourselves to face the challenges in real life.

The essence of education

Education is basic skills, knowledge of technical disciplines. These skills are related to the value of knowledge, which is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world. Others go to school just to be able to say that they have also received education.

An educational institution is not just an institution that focuses only on academic subjects. On the contrary, it is a place where a greater role can be played. It helps to build social skills and build healthy relationships with classmates. This helps us develop a lifelong network. In school, children are also taught correct manners and behaviors, morals and moral values, which will help them become better people.

Our behavior in life is influenced by the acquisition of knowledge through instruction, observation and even assimilation. Education does constitute the essence of our actions in life. Education is not only the subjects we obtain in the syllabus.

In reality, it means many basic things in life, including morality, morality, values, principles, etiquette, responsibility, etiquette, behavior, relationships, respect and recognition. Education should be a means that will help each of us answer questions and solve problems, help us set our goals in life, teach us how to deal with people, how to plan, how to deal with stress, and how education is important because it helps shape our overall personality.

A sentence from Aristotle summed up everything: “Educating the mind without educating the mind is not education at all. “Although it is important to arm and educate our minds, it is equally important to educate our hearts. Let us all educate ourselves and recognize the value and worth of our compatriots, just as we value and cherish our personal hearts and minds.
